I had a wonderful stay at this resort just outside the hustle and bustle of Cairns. The location was convenient, with easy access to the town center, shops, and public transport at a low cost. The staff were incredibly helpful and quick to address any minor issues. The rooms were comfortable, but could use some updates. Overall, it's great value for money, especially with the added benefit of a nice pool and friendly atmosphere.

Rooms

The rooms were spacious and comfortable, but a bit dated and lacking surfaces for luggage.

5.0/10

Overall, my experience at the hotel was far from satisfactory. The rooms were absolutely filthy and not worth the price point, while the staff was unwelcoming and unhelpful. The only silver lining was the location, which was convenient for getting around.

Rooms
5.0
The rooms were in terrible condition—disgusting and unsafe, with inadequate maintenance. I felt very uncomfortable.
Service
5.0
The service was poor, with rude and unhelpful staff who yelled at us when we raised concerns.
Location
6.0
The hotel is conveniently located, making it easy to navigate around, but the overall safety and security left a lot to be desired.
Dining
5.0
Dining options were practically non-existent, and what was offered was extremely subpar and poorly presented.
Facilities

Facilities were lacking; the place felt unsafe with no security measures in place.

I had a wonderful experience at Bohemia Resort Backpackers in Cairns. The room was spacious and included amenities like a fridge and a telly, which I found very convenient. It felt private and well-decorated. However, the breakfast options were quite basic and could definitely use some improvement.

Rooms
10.0
The room was more than double the size of other accommodations I've had in Cairns and included a fridge and a telly. It was beautifully painted and felt very private.
Service
9.0
The management was incredibly kind and helpful, immediately resolving any minor issues that arose. They checked me in smoothly even after a late flight.
Location
9.0
The resort is ideally located just outside the main hustle of Cairns, which I loved. It’s a short walk to the city and all necessary amenities.
Dining
5.0
The breakfast was quite basic, featuring only cheap cereal and toast served in plastic containers, which didn't quite meet my expectations.
Facilities
6.0
The facilities included a nice pool that I enjoyed swimming in; however, the dining situation could use a serious upgrade.

5.8/10

I had some mixed feelings about my stay here. The hotel is more of a hostel, which was unexpected, and the rooms were quite small and lacked some basic amenities. However, the staff was super friendly and helpful, and the pool was a hit with my kids. On the downside, cleanliness could be improved, and the shared bathrooms were a bit of a hassle.

Rooms
5.0
The room was much smaller than I had anticipated, especially since it was meant for three people. It lacked a wardrobe, table, and chair.
Service
7.0
The staff was really friendly and exercised patience with our inquiries. They helped us store our food and were easygoing overall.
Location
7.0
The location was alright, just a short walk to most places, which was convenient. However, it was a bit far from the railway station.
Dining
5.0
The breakfast delivered to our room could have been better; it was cheap and served on disposable plates. It was also quite delayed.
Facilities
6.0
The facilities were basic, suited for a backpacker vibe more than a resort experience. The pool area was enjoyable for my kids.

I had an overall disappointing experience during my stay. The room was dirty, with hair on the floor and in the bathroom, and the beds were uncomfortable. The only positive aspect was the pool, which I didn't end up using. For the price, I expected better cleanliness and maintenance, but unfortunately, it did not live up to my expectations.

Rooms
5.0
The room I stayed in was in desperate need of a deep clean. I found hairballs on the floor, and the bathroom was not much better, with strands of hair everywhere. The bed was uncomfortable, and broken springs made for a rough night.
Service
5.0
Although I had to ask for towels after finding the room poorly stocked initially, I must say the service team was helpful in addressing some of these issues.

The pool looked appealing, but I ultimately didn't use it. Overall, the infrastructure seemed neglected, and things like the hallway acoustics made for a noisy atmosphere.
